Itinerary Day 1:

The drive to the Kayak Station takes about 45–60 mins by car, enough time to get familiar with the group. This tour is held in the central part of the Archipelago and does not follow a fixed route. The guide decides the route and takes into consideration the abilities of the group as well as the weather conditions. Before the tour starts, the guide gives advanced safety and paddle instruction techniques (to make sure that the trip is safe for everyone). Now, pack the kayak. The space is limited, so you have to do it in the right manner, but don’t worry; your guide shows you how to pack best. Finally, it’s time to hop into the kayak and start paddling slowly, just at a slow speed, to get used to the kayak and find the right paddle technique. The first part of the trip takes about 2 hours of paddling. Then it’s time for the first lunch break on one of the many islands. Here, you can learn how to set up a campfire ... or just jump into the Baltic Sea for a first swim. Afterwards the tour continues, with great vantage points to appreciate the beauty of the Archipelago. There are many picture opportunities along the way before the group stops for a second break and some snacks, just enough to keep the energy levels up. When you’re ready, we’ll finish the last paddle of the day and find the ideal camping location for the night somewhere close to the shoreline. The active part of the first day ends somewhere around 5–6 pm. which is usually more than enough action for the first day. First things first; grab your tent and set it up and rest for a while. Dinner will be ready around 7–8 pm. You could enjoy the sunset and spend the evening next to the fire if you so desire.

Itinerary Day 2:

It’s early morning, and you will probably wake to the sound of white swans flapping their wings on the water surface... or by the rays of sunlight touching your tent. Breakfast will be ready around 8 am. Enjoy your breakfast with some stunning views of the ocean. After breakfast, it’s time to pack up the equipment and get back into the kayak. Now we travel some miles on the water, further out to the edge of the Archipelago. This area is completely remote and uninhabited, few people are ever seen here. As we paddle along the small islands, look out for some seals… they are around and just waiting to be spotted. Kayaking in the morning time offers the best conditions, and it feels almost like paddling on a lake. After some hours in your kayak, the group will stop for lunch on one of the small islands, the perfect time to go on a small hike to shake out your legs and to get some stunning views of the whole area. On your way back from the hike, lunch will have been prepared, ready and waiting for you. From here, it’s time to slowly turn around and look for another fantastic camping spot in the wilderness of the Archipelago. As soon as the group finds a camping spot, pitch your tent and relax for a while before dinner preparation starts. After dinner, feel free to join the group around the campfire, where we will share some life stories and another night stargazing in the middle of nowhere.

Itinerary Day 3:

You wake up. Just take a moment to embrace the natural scenery and enjoy your coffee/tea next to the Baltic Sea. You’re on holiday, so take your time—there is no need to rush. When you’re ready, get your equipment together and pack your kayak. On the way back to the Kayak Station, the route goes along another way, with different islands and new scenery to discover. Maybe try spotting some birdlife or just chill and paddle along the way. There will be one more lunch break to keep the energy levels up and a small hike to shake out the legs before you finally arrive at the Kayak Station. Before heading back to town, unpack the kayak and all of the equipment. Well done! You made it, 3 days out in nature! An experience that you won’t forget for a lifetime! The drive back to Stockholm City takes about 60 minutes, and you should be back no later than 5 pm.
